How do I book in?

Alternatively, you can use our online contact form . We see clients with and without a GP referral, however with a GP referral, you may be entitled to receive a medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions [20 sessions until 31 Dec 2022]
How long are the appointments?
Standard consultations are 50 minutes in length. Some treatments may require a longer appointment length - in that case your therapist will discuss with you the fee changes for longer appointments.
Do you provide psychological reports?
If you require a psychological report or letter for court, work, school or other purposes, we are happy to provide these at an additional cost. The fee for psychological reports depends on the length of time and whether further assessments will be required. If you would like to know our fees for reports, please ask for our schedule of fees.
Do you bulk bill?

Yes and No. We only offer a very limited number of bulk bill places for people who we determine are experiencing significant financial hardship. This is at the psychologists/counsellors discretion.
I have used up my 10 medicare rebated sessions, now what?
Both our psychologists and counsellors may accept specific private health funds. Please make sure your private health fund covers you for ‘psychology’ and/or ‘counselling’ if you are hoping to access this.
I am nervous, what can I expect in my first session?
Seeing a psychologist for the first time can be a daunting experience. The first appointment is often a “getting to know you” session. There may be some paperwork, lots of chit chat to explore your family background, school/work and social life, physical, medical and emotional health, as well as your family background and questions about your current mental health symptoms and functioning. Your psychologist will help you feel as comfortable as possible, we have herbal teas, blankets and long couch to lay on - just in case you require that extra level of soothing for your nerves.

Our fees range depending on a several factors including:

Whether you are seeing a counsellor or psychologist/clinical psychologst

Whether you have a mental health care plan and GP referral

Whether you are claiming through Medicare or via your Private Health Fund

Length of session
Our psychologists charge significantly less than the fees recommended by the Australian Psychological Society. You can view the APS national schedule of recommended fees here.
Standard counsellor fees at The Mind Clan vary between $70.00 - $85.00 per session. Lower rates may be available for people with a health care card.

With the current medicare rebate and a mental health care plan, Clinical Psychology out of pocket fees at The Mind Clan ranges between $70.00 - $85.00 per session.
